Virtual Resource Manager(VRM)
TMF Open Cloud comes with an all-in-one virtualization infrastructure (TMF Cloud OS) that virtualizes all the physical resources for Compute, Network, and Storage. The core of TMF Cloud OS is a Virtual Resource Manager(VRM) that manages users, tenants (service providers), and its solutions. Tenant administrators can add news users and solution to his VDC with just a few clicks.
Software Defined Storage(SDS) / Software Defined Network(SDN)
TMF provides its own software defined storage(SDS) and software defined network (SDN) components. The SDS component is a distributed block storage architecture that provides thin provisioning, replication, snapshots, de-duplication, and backup/restore utilities, The SDN component is an all layer-2 mesh network that manages separate logical network for each tenant.
Virtual Data Center Management (VDCM) / Physical Data Center Management
TMF also provides management virtualization. Each tenant (Service provider) has access to a Management Portal to view, operate, and monitor his virtual resources. He can also diagnose issues with its virtual data center. In addition, TMF provides reporting functions for a service provider to monitor his resource usage as well as notification of pre-defined events.

TMF Open Cloud provisions the unique concept of a Virtual Data Center (VDC) for each tenant.The features of a VDC includes:
Isolation … Each tenant’s VDC has its own name space of virtual server, storage and networking resource, so they are architecturally isolated from each other.
Scalable Load Balancer … TMF automatically balances workload and improves system utilization and application performance by automatically balancing virtual machines within a virtual cluster.
Auto Scaling … TMF dynamically grows and shrinks the Virtual Cluster and Virtual Machine capacity (CPU/Memory) based on needs.

TMF Open Cloud Portal accepts service template in Cloud Formation syntax and automatically provisions virtual resources from its underneath virtual infrastructure (TMF OS or OpenStack）to run the cloud service.
Further, TMF Portal comes with state of the art application orchestration layer to allow cloud service to be set up without manual intervention. It increases the speed of deployment/upgrade and reduces human errors. With the TMF portal, a service provider can convert his legacy application into cloud service quickly and run it more effectively and efficiently.
Monitoring & Reporting
TMF Open Cloud monitors the physical machines, virtual resource usage, as well as network statistics on ongoing basics. In addition, TMF also monitors logs from its service components. The current status and utilization of physical and virtual resources are displayed via dashboard on TMF portal.
Upon request, TMF portal can also generate reports (based on query parameters) on the
historic resource usage and network statistics. Such reports can be used both by management and for billing purposes. The report can be generated in forms as well via Excel format for import into other systems.
TMF Open Cloud monitors HW status as well logs for pre-defined critical events. Upon such events, the system can be configured to send out alerts to the operations personnel.
